This somewhat unusual 50 foot construction, a cross between a pillar and a tall chimney, for it is in fact hollow inside, is the northern most folly of the group. The base even looks like a large fireplace, although it isn't, and on this sits the column or pillar that you see. Next you have a carved drum to finish things off, with at one time, a weather vane shaped like a fish located inside an iron cage at the very top, hence the folly's name.
This top drum looks considerably newer in appearance than the lower supporting column, though whether this is a result of restoration or because it is a later addition I do not know.
