The view toward St. Peter's Pump, halfway along Six Well's Bottom. This grassy valley is nearly a mile long! The streams that feed the lake run through here but only in very wet weather. The woods are called the Sunny and Shady Hangings. Before the garden was built at Stourhead, Six Well's was once part of an enclosed deer park. In the distance St. Peter's Pump can just be seen, approx 0.5 miles away.
